Bishop Andrew Jackson.jpg

Bishop Andrew and Lady Lottie Jackson followed the leading of the Lord and started a work in 1969 in South Memphis. Along with their six children and two other adults, Faith Temple Ministries was founded. At first, it seemed that all Bishop Jackson could attract to the church were children from the neighborhood, but eventually those children*s parents began to come to the church and the ministry began to grow.

Bishop Jackson pastored Faith Temple for 47 years and the church grew and prospered. Moving twice to our current third location, Bishop Jackson continued to preach the unadulterated Word of God and souls were continuously being added to the kingdom. Upon retirememnt in June 2016, his middle son, Ivory Jackson, who is married to Lady Lisa Jackson, and also served many years as Assistant Pastor, was elevated to the position of Senior Pastor. The youngest son, Derrick Jackson, who is married to the lovely Sharon D. Jackson, serves as the Minister of Music and chief musician. Bishop Jackson's other four children work in ministry, also: His oldest daughter, the late Lady Patricia Campbell, served faithfully for many years alongside her husband, Pastor Aaron Campbell, as pastor and wife of Rising Sun Outreach Ministries in Memphis, TN. Superintendent Andrew Jackson Jr. and his lovely wife, Lady Sandra Jackson, serve as pastor and wife of West Irving COGIC in Irving, TX. Lady Barbara Jackson-Sago, is married to Superintendent Samuel Sago, and they serve as pastor and wife at Victorious Faith COGIC in Itta Bena, MS. Psalmist Sharon Jackson is the Minister of Music and Worship Arts at Greater Community COGIC in Marietta, GA. Bishop and Lady Lottie Jackson enjoyed over 58 years of marriage before she went home to be with the Lord in October of 2012.  They were blessed with six beautiful children and over 20 grandchildren & 11 great-grandchildren.

Bishop Jackson worked for many years in research at both Northwestern University in Chicago, IL and The University of Tennessee in Memphis, TN before he resigned to go full time in ministry. Bishop Jackson served as the Vice President of the Tennessee West Fellowship, COGIC. He has served as the Chairman for the Memphis chapter of the Pentecostal/Charismatic Churches of North America (PCCNA), as well as on the Executive Board for Teen Challenge of Memphis. He has also done volunteer work for the Shelby County Sheriff Department Senior Citizen Crime Watch.

Bishop Jackson is a Pastor of Pastors, as several churches have been birthed out of Faith Temple, as well as he serves as a mentor to pastors everywhere. He was elevated to the Bishopric in the Church of God in Christ in November of 2017.

Bishop Jackson married Lady Shirley Perry Jackson in October 2015. Shirley is the mother of three beautiful daughters, Angela Anderson, Kimberly King and Lisa Perry. Bishop Jackson and Lady Shirley are both enjoying retirement, spending valuable time with family and friends, as well as traveling extensively for ministry and leisure.
